Arduino Day 2018 in Sri Lanka (Held at Technobrain International Pvt Ltd on the 12th of May, 2018) included a show and talk sessions of many Arduino based projects, live demo and a maker challenge. Technobrain International has been the only organization in Sri Lanka to register under Arduino this year. The event was basically organized to be held as a community event sharing information, showing demonstrations about the use of Arduino. Being the only Maker Space in the Eastern Province of Sri Lanka, Technobrain took its corporate social responsibility in hands to serve its community with the essence of what they have achieved so far through Arduino and to show and talk about various IoTs they have created.
Honorable Mayor of Batticaloa Municipal Council took part in this event as the chief guest and there were a lot of school children, techies and other scholars who dropped in, to have a look at these show and talk session.
Several people who took part as spectators at the event mentioned that they would love to see their talents as exhibits at Technobrain’s Arduino day too. Because these preferences vary so widely, we couldn’t just pick one. So folks decided to have a Maker challenge of assembling a smart car in 15 minutes. An outsider along with a maker at Technobrain completed the task taking few extra minutes. At the end, they cut a cake and fulfilled the celebrations of Arduino day 2018 in Batticaloa.
